EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Ms. Cassidy founded Aspen Affiliates, Inc. in 1988. She has graduate training in business and psychology; she also has subsequent training and experience in mediation and conflict resolution. She served as Chief Financial Officer of Automatic Data Processing’s Collision Estimating Services division from 1987-1988. She was also the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Restructure Officer of California Canners and Growers from 1982-1986. From 1975-1982 she was a consultant with Touche Ross & Company. Prior to her business career, Ms. Cassidy taught applied and social psychology in various colleges and educational institutions.

In 1975, Ms. Cassidy received an M. B. A. from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, with emphasis in finance and accounting. In 1971, Ms. Cassidy obtained her M.A. in psychology from San Diego State University. In 1968, she obtained her B. A. in psychology from Seattle University.

In 2007, Ms. Cassidy completed Mediation and Conflict Resolution training, with Ron Kelly, at U. C. Berkeley’s Extension. In 2010, she completed additional mediation training with Community Boards, San Francisco. She is a member of the S. F. Bar Association and the Bay Area Bankruptcy Forum and frequently attends continuing education seminars. Aspen Affiliates, Inc. is a Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) as certified by the California Public Utilities Commission.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

Ms. Cassidy has been actively involved in the San Francisco arts, civic and business communities. She has served on the Boards of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, the San Francisco Ballet and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. She currently serves on the Board of San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR) and on the Finance Committee at St. Francis Memorial Hospital. She recently resigned from the Hospital’s Bio-Ethics Committee.

She enjoys travel, reading and cooking for family and friends.
